lookcloser publishes short explainer videos on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. This policy covers those accounts and the "lookcloser connector", a private tool the lookcloser team uses to manage them.

What the connector is

The lookcloser connector is an internal app. It is used only by the lookcloser team to manage lookcloser's own accounts: publishing our videos, reading their statistics, and reading and replying to comments on our posts. It is not offered to the public, and nobody else can sign in to it.

What information it handles

Through the official Instagram, Facebook and YouTube APIs, the connector reads information about our own accounts and posts, such as view counts, likes, shares and watch time. It also reads comments left on our posts, together with the commenter's public username, so that we can read and reply to them. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, locations or any private information about people who view or comment on our videos.

How it is used and stored

We use this information only to understand how our videos perform and to respond to our audience. Statistics are kept in private notes for our own use. Comments are read on demand and are not stored in a database. We never sell, share or rent any information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Access tokens

Signing in to our own accounts gives the connector access tokens. These are kept only on our own computer, are never shared, and can be revoked at any time from the account settings of each platform.

Deleting your information

If you have commented on one of our posts and would like us to remove any copy of it from our notes, email lookcloser.why@gmail.com with your username and the post, and we will delete it within 30 days. You can also delete your comment directly on the platform at any time.
